• CourseFeed collects personal information when you register with us or add the CourseFeed application for Facebook®, when you use CourseFeed products or services, when you visit CourseFeed pages or the pages of certain CourseFeed partners. When you register with CourseFeed and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us. CourseFeed collects information about you from Facebook and the online learning management system to which it is integrated. CourseFeed does not access any other school/institution system even if such system is connected to the online learning management system.
  
• When you use CourseFeed, you may set up your school courses, form relationships, send messages, upload files, perform searches and queries, form groups, set up events, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features.
  
• When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.
  
• You post content on the Site at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content.
• CourseFeed strives to provide notifications to users of course related content in a timely manner but is not responsible for lost or late notifications. You are still responsible for checking your school’s learning management system for changes to your course.
• CourseFeed automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, CourseFeed cookie information, and the page you request.
• CourseFeed uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting.

• We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

1. We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of CourseFeed's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
2. We transfer information about you if CourseFeed is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, CourseFeed will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

• CourseFeed displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click targeted ads meet the targeting criteria —for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.
  CourseFeed does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.
  
  
• By providing CourseFeed with access to courses on your school’s learning management system, such as you grant CourseFeed permission retrieve all course related information and content such as but not limited to links to files, folders, and assignments, announcements, personal contact information, and course roster information, for the purpose of displaying and notifying you of online course activity through the CourseFeed interface and/or email.
  
  
• CourseFeed does not download, save, or store files that reside on the learning management system. To access files CourseFeed provides links which direct you to your school's online content system login screen where you can access the files directly.
  
  
• We recognize the sensitive nature of course related information and content and will maintain the same level of privacy and separation currently implemented by your school’s learning management system. CourseFeed is limited to retrieve only content links and information that is accessible by you based on your institution’s online content system configuration and your enrollment permissions. CourseFeed will never present to you information or content you do not already have access to

• Because CourseFeed mirrors your school’s learning management system only students, teachers, TAs, administrators and other individuals currently enrolled by your school administration in your course will display in the course roster and have access to course materials.
  
  
• CourseFeed may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a friend sends you a new message, or someone posts on your Course Wall, you may receive an email alerting you to that fact
  
• Generally, you may opt out of such emails by clicking the opt out link in the footer of each email, though CourseFeed reserves the right to send you notice about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.
  

Children Under Age 13

• CourseFeed does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to use CourseFeed or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on CourseFeed. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18

• We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.
  

• CourseFeed may set and access CourseFeed cookies on your computer.
  
  
• CourseFeed lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer.
